A man wanted for rape and murder in Maryland is now being accused of setting several arson fires on Union Street in Springfield.
30-year-old Mardell Davis according to Springfield Police Spokesman Sgt John Delaney has confessed to the Union Street fires.
He will be arraigned on a variety of charges later today in Springfield District Court.
It is unclear whether he will fight rendition back to Maryland.
