The trial of a man accused of shooting at a Massachusetts State Trooper is underway.
Opening statements in the case of Mohamed Fofanah, who is charged with intent to murder and armed assault, got underway Thursday in Hampden Superior Court.
Fofanah, who is from Hartford, is also accused of mistreating or interfering with a police dog when he punched and choked the animal during the incident last April.
