Baker Budget Gets A Re-Do

Later today we are expecting to hear from the House Lawmakers on Beacon Hill on the re-write of Governor Baker's fiscal year 2018 budget.

The budget as first proposed may be as much as 200 million dollars out of whack because of declining tax revenues.

The 40 billion dollar House One Budget has no new taxes in it and it is unclear right now where the cuts are coming from.

Some democrats have suggested in order to insure the same level of services there may be a need for an increase in some taxes, but the House Speaker has suggested there is no appetite for more taxes.
