State Looks To Add Affordable Housing Stock

The Baker administration is proposing a  nearly one-point-three-billion-dollar bond bill for affordable  housing.

The administration says that combined with existing  uncommitted funding, the housing bond bill would give the state more  than a billion-and-half-dollars to support construction and preservation  of affordable housing.

It would also extend a state tax credit to  finance affordable housing development.  Governor Charlie Baker says the  goal is to continue helping the state's most vulnerable residents.
