Golden Handshake At A Boston Hospital

Brigham and Women's Hospital is  offering voluntary buyouts to 16 hundred employees.

The offer is being  extended to more than eight percent of the hospital system's workforce.

Officials say the hospital remains profitable, but is facing growing  labor costs and has debt from some recent large scale projects.

Brigham  and Women's currently has 18 thousand employees, and is one of Boston's  largest employers.
