An agreement is being reached on a new contract for the Springfield teachers union.
The Springfield Public Schools Administration announced yesterday the three-year deal will guarantee that no teacher is paid below the regional average.
There's a second contract that will go into effect retroactively and end in June.
Teachers are scheduled to vote on the items next month.
