A new contract for Springfield Public Schools teachers is moving forward.
The Springfield School Committee unanimously approved a new deal during a meeting last night.
The contract includes assurances that all teachers will at least be paid the average for educators across Western Massachusetts.
It's retroactive to last July and goes until the year 2020.
