A Chicopee toddler is safe after an Amber Alert was put out for him over the weekend.
Chicopee police say Joshua Calcorzi (pictured above) of Pennsylvania took Jandel Calcorzi, his 21-month-old son, from a Chicopee home overnight Sunday after stabbing the boy's mother, and fled to a motel in Newington, Connecticut, where he was arrested later in the morning.
The mother is recovering in stable condition at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.
Joshua Calcorzi is facing armed assault, assault with intent to murder and kidnapping charges.
