A couple of hit-and-run incidents in Western Massachusetts are being investigated.
A 16-year-old boy was hospitalized with a possible broken arm and leg after being hit by what was described as an old, red-colored Buick on Thursday afternoon on Island Pond Road in Springfield.
Police describe the driver, who reportedly kept going southbound, as an older Hispanic man with gray hair and a beard.
The Hampden County District Attorney's Office is also looking into an incident where a female teenage bicyclist was hit by a car on Wednesday in Southwick, on College Highway, and suffered serious injuries.
