No Budget Yet- Concessions Made By Unions

Connecticut state employees are  overwhelmingly saying yes to the concession package designed to help  close the state budget gap.

The deal between the State Employee  Bargaining Agent Coalition and Governor Malloy's budget staff calls for a  two-year wage freeze and no layoffs for four years.

It also features  furlough days, increased prescription drug co-pays and a 401K program  for new workers.

The deal will save an estimated one and a  half-billion-dollars if approved by the Legislature.
