Governor Dannel Malloy is announcing the selection of the service provider for the passenger rail service between New Haven, Hartford and Springfield that's currently under construction.
Malloy yesterday said that the "CTrail Hartford" line will be a joint venture between Missouri-based TransitAmerica Services and Alternate Concepts out of Boston.
The line is expected to launch next year and will more than double the daily round trips that are currently offered in the corridor, according to a press release from Malloy's office.
