A Springfield City Council committee is set to discuss the options for the scheduled-to-be-closed Mason Square Senior Center after a protest on Tuesday.
The council's Elder Affairs Committee will meet on Monday before the regular City Council meeting.
Mason Square is one of several senior centers the city decided to close and consolidate into the new Raymond Jordon Senior Center in Blunt Park, which is still months away from opening.
The closure is scheduled for Friday.
