Money For Sidewalks Approved In Springfield

Springfield's  City Council is approving bond funds for a range of requests.

Nearly 13-million dollars' worth of funding was approved at  Monday's meeting, including two-and-a-half-million for a major sidewalk  replacement program.

One bond request was shelved, as council president  Orlando Ramos says he wants a review of improvement plans for city parks  before the board votes on a one-and-a-half-million-dollar bond for  improvements to Riverfront Park.
