Connecticut Wants More Tax Revenues

Governor Malloy is detailing his new  budget adjustment proposal.

He unveiled details of the plan yesterday,  including some new taxes.

They include a higher levy on cigarettes, a  25-cent-per-bottle deposit on wine and liquor and the elimination of the  200-dollar property tax credit against the income tax.

Malloy's budget  adjustment plan also repeals the sales tax exemption for  nonprescription drugs.
