Governor Dan Malloy says criminal justice reforms enacted in Connecticut over the last few years are showing real results.
Malloy says two new reports show the projected state prison population and recidivism rates are both continuing to drop.
The governor says the state prison population is expected to drop by over 700 inmates in the next year.
Malloy says clearly there are far fewer people committing crimes and entering the prison system than ever before.
