Clean Up Continues After Storm

It appears that western Mass has survived the latest round of winter.

Area Police report no serious injuries from the storm which brought high winds, heavy rains and more than a foot of snow to parts of the region.  The snow fell mainly in the Berkshires and parts of Franklin County.

Eversource and National Grid reported somewhere in the neighborhood of 3 thousand customers without power.  As of Saturday morning, just about everyone has power.

Springfield Fire reports that a family came home Friday night to find a pine tree that crashed into their Wisteria Street home.  There were no injuries there either.

For the most part in the greater Springfield area it was a heavy rain event.  About an inch to an inch and a half worth of rain fell in the area.

As far as the forecast today is concerned, you will see daytime highs today and Sunday in the 4o's and overnight lows in the 30's.

We may not be totally done with the wind though.  The National Weather Service says we could see occasional gusts at this end of the state to 40 miles per hour.
