Massachusetts Applauded For Fewest Gun Deaths

Massachusetts  is being given an "A-minus" in a 2017 ranking of gun laws in each  state.

The ranking is from the Gifford Law Center to Prevent Gun  Violence which is out with its report today.

It notes the Commonwealth has the lowest gun death rate in  the country and some of the nation's strongest gun laws.

However, it  says the Legislature should continue its work by passing an extreme risk  protection order law and more stable funding for urban violence  reduction programs.
