Walgreens Pays Fine For Overpricing

Walgreens is agreeing to pay over  five-million-dollars to settle allegations it overcharged a state  program for prescription drugs.

The state had sued Walgreens after it  allegedly overcharged the state workers compensation insurance system  for a decade.

In addition to the payment, Walgreens is agreeing to  implement procedures to prevent overcharging for drugs in the workers  compensation system.
