The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the launch of the Hartford Line rail service.
CT-DOT says 17 trains will operate daily between New Haven and Hartford, and 12 trains will go between Hartford and Springfield starting with an inaugural event on June 15th.
Commissioner James Redeker says the expanded service will transform travel options in the corridor between New Haven and Springfield and will serve as a catalyst for economic development, as well as business and recreational travel.
