Region Ready For New Haven To Springfield Trains

The Hartford Line launches its first commuter rail trips between New Haven, Hartford  and Springfield this week.

The first commuter rail line to launch in  decades in Connecticut begins its daily runs on Saturday.

State  transportation officials are hoping the frequent service on the rail  line will convince people to leave their cars at home and take the  train.

It will take trains on the Hartford line about 80 minutes to travel from New Haven to Springfield.
