Western Massachusetts Congressman Jim McGovern is among those with immediate reactions to President Trump's pick of Brett Kavanaugh for a U.S. Supreme Court seat.
The Amherst Democrat is expressing concern about Kavanaugh's expressed belief that a president should not be "distracted" by lawsuits.
McGovern also urged people on Twitter to let it sink in that a number of concerning cases could come before the Supreme Court, such as a criminal investigation of Trump's long-time attorney.
