Suit Challenges State Voting Laws

There could be some changes coming to the voting booth if a legal challenge succeeds.

A newly filed lawsuit is seeking to  challenge the Electoral College system used to elect the president.

The  lawsuit targets Massachusetts and three other states, arguing that the  system disenfranchises voters who choose the losing candidate.

As an  example, President Trump received over one million votes in  Massachusetts, but he received zero Electoral College votes.

The suit  says the system leads to candidates focusing on a few swing states and  ignoring the rest of the country.
