Friday is the new deadline for people living in a homeless encampment in the Greenfield Town Common to vacate the premises.
The Mayor William Martin shared that information following a special city council meeting on Tuesday.
Martin noted that there is another event scheduled on the common on Sunday, for which organizers have taken out a license with the city to hold.
He said the Greenfield Police Department and the Department of Public Works will assist with moving the camp.
Originally, the Greenfield board of health set this past Sunday as the deadline, but it passed and people remained on the common.
