The union representing Stop and Shop workers in Western Massachusetts is planning a rally next week.
The United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1459 will be at the Chicopee Stop and Shop next Wednesday afternoon.
The event is not a strike, although the union has voted to authorize one if necessary as workers continue without a contract.
Union Leaders say that the stumbling blocks continue to be wages, healthcare and pensions.
