Super Bug Strikes State And The Nation

A new health scare has reached the commonwealth. 

The Centers For Disease Control announcing Candida Auris -- a fungus targeting people with weakened immune systems -- a mortality rate of about 50 percent, according to the Centers For Disease Control. 

State and Federal Officials say seven cases have been diagnosed in the state.

More than 6oo cases nationwide.

More than half of the cases have been diagnosed in New York. 

Now state officials saying where the state cases have been found.

According to the experts, people use antibiotics so often that the virus is resistant to most treatments.

Besides the seven cases in Massachusetts--One case has been found in Connecticut.
