Military officials are revealing the identity of two soldiers who were killed in Afghanistan this week.
The Department of Defense says Luis DeLeon-Figueroa of Chicopee and Jose Gonzalez of California both died Wednesday.
The soldiers were wounded by small arms fire during combat operations.
Neither family have commented specifically. No funeral arrangements have been announced.
Officials say the pair were assigned to the 7th Special Forces Group stationed in Florida, and were both posthumously promoted to the rank of master sergeant.
