Vaping Illness Increases In Massachusetts And Connecticut

State public health officials say 38 patients in Massachusetts have a lung illness linked to vaping.

At least seven of the patients are teenagers who have received treatment at Boston Children's Hospital. Nationwide, six deaths and hundreds of cases have been reported. 

Federal officials say most of the victims say they vaped cannabis, many reported vaping both cannabis and nicotine, and some victims vaped just nicotine.

Officials in Connecticut have reported 11 cases.
