Westfield State University hosted a mayoral debate on Tuesday.
Police captain Michael McCabe and state Senator Donald Humason are competing to replace incumbent Brian Sullivan, who has announced he will be taking a position in Governor Charlie Baker's administration.
City Council President Ralph Figy is set to serve as interim mayor when Sullivan leaves the office on November 8th.
Sullivan will serve as the Director of Green Communities for the Governor.
