Worcester's minor league baseball team will be called the WooSox when the team starts playing in the city in 2021.
The team is the top minor league affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, and construction of the squad's 100-million-dollar Worcester stadium is underway.
The WooSox logo was also unveiled during a ceremony yesterday, featuring a smiley face with a bat known as Smiley Ball.
It pays homage to the original Smiley Face, designed by Worcester ad executive Harvey Ball.
