Governor Bans Flavored Cigarettes...Allows Vaping Products

The ban on sales of nicotine vapes ends December eleventh in Massachusetts, but marijuana vape customers will have to wait a little longer.

Governor Charlie Baker says he's leaving oversight of pot vapes to the Cannabis Control Commission, which next meets on December 19th.

The commission has quarantined all pot vapes and is testing the products for a vitamin E acetate that has been linked to serious lung problems.

Most of the issues have been linked to black market vaping products.

Meantime, flavored cigarettes have been banned in the state effective next June.

Some shop owners say they may have to reinvent themselves because of all of the lost business.
