Four people are under arrest for separate shooting incidents in Springfield which happened within a couple blocks of each other yesterday afternoon.
The first incident involved a gunshot victim with serious injuries at the intersection of Northampton Avenue and Wilbraham Road; the second was a victimless shots-fired report in the vicinity of Andrew Street.
Police arrested Nathan Mercado for the first incident for driving without a license; police said no firearm was located in his vehicle.
Three other city residents were arrested for the second incident, which was said to be unrelated to the first.
