Covid Closes Casinos Statewide

The Massachusetts Gaming Commission, in an emergency meeting this weekend closed all the casinos across the state, including MGM Springfield.

All gaming operations came to an end at 5:59AM Sunday morning across the state.

The commission also announced that the casinos have agreed to pay their full time employees for the next two weeks despite being closed.

The Commission says that the 2 week hiatus will be revisited at that point to determine whether it is safe for the facilities to reopen.
