HCC Goes On Line Only For Fall Semester

Holyoke Community College is planning to conduct its fall semester via remote learning to protect against the spread of the coronavirus.

College officials say the students at HCC are more likely to be in demographics that are vulnerable to the virus.

Some students say it is a good decision by the college but there are others who suggest that one on one relationships between professors and students could be a thing of the past.

Elsewhere in the Knowledge Corridor, the chancellor of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst says a decision on whether to re-open the campus to students this upcoming fall will be made soon.
