Man Sentenced For Northampton Shooting, Disposal Of Body

A Northampton man is being sentenced to up to twenty years in prison for charges including voluntary manslaughter.

A Hampshire Superior Court judge sentenced Nerkin Morales on Tuesday in connection to the shooting of Daniel Cruz in a NoHo apartment in 2018 and the subsequent burning of his body in Hatfield.

One other man, Pedro Soto-Rodriguez, was previously sentenced to up to eight years in prison for accessory to murder and witness intimidation, and several other people charged in the conspiracy are facing trials.
