Area Schools Track Path To Partial Return To Class

West Springfield School officials are out with a plan to slowly return to school. They are remote now. Under the plan officials say they would go to a hybrid system of in-school learning starting on the 23rd of the month. Parents, who are still not comfortable with returning their kids to school, will be allowed to continue to remote learning.

In Agawam, Monday is the first day of school again for Pre-K students as well as grades 2 through 12. They are returning to hybrid learning. They had been totally remote for a couple of weeks because of a Covid19 spike in the community. Kindergarten and First Grade students will begin full in-person learning. The return to hybrid is a response to the community being lowered to a “yellow” or moderate community.
