Cold Case Break Through: D-A Has Person Of Interest In Molly Bish Case

A break through in the Molly Bish case.

It was almost 21 years ago that Molly Bish was kidnapped and killed. She was, then a 16 year old life guard in Warren. Since that time, her killer has never been found. Now comes word that there is a person of interest in connection with the case.

Worcester District Attorney Joe Early says Francis P Sumner Senior has been named as a person of interest in connection with the case. He is not saying why, except to say evidence developed is solid.

Sumner died five years ago. He was 71. He was active in Central Massachusetts from 1960 to 2016. He was known to operate an auto repair shop in Spencer and Leicester.

The DA isn’t saying much more than that.

The DA however is asking the public to provide any additional information they have in the case.
