The Springfield Thunderbirds are advancing in the Calder Cup Playoffs.
But it took a lot of work to end the series.
Springfield allowed four of the first five goals of the game in the first period, then had to fight back in the second period to even the game at 4.
Then they scored three times in the third for the victory.
The T-Birds swept the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in their first postseason series in team history, winning Game 3 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania on Sunday 7-to-6 in regulation.
The Thunderbirds will play either the Charlotte Checkers or the Bridgeport Islanders in the next round.
Charlotte leads their series two games to one heading into Game 4 on tonight.
If a game five is needed in that series it would be played on Wednesday night.
