State Rests- The Defense Begins In Zhukovskyy Trial

Some charges are being dropped against West Springfield truck driver Volodymyr Zhukovskyy.

A New Hampshire judge ruled Wednesday there is insufficient evidence on whether Zhukovskyy was intoxicated or operating under the influence of illegal drugs when his truck collided with a group of motorcyclists, killing seven, on U.S. Route 2 in Randolph, NH in 2019.

The more-serious charges against Zhukovskyy remain, including negligent homicide and manslaughter.

The prosecution has rested, and the defense is up next.

It is still unclear as to whether Zhukovskyy will testify in his own defense.
