Springfield Schools To Get Millions For Air System Improvements

Boston, Worcester and Springfield are among the 20 districts that are in line for part of the 100 million dollar state program, designed to provide monies for upgrades in ventilation and air quality systems throughout the state.

The Governor says that the highest need cities will get most of the money.

Boston is getting up to 15 million dollars for its part.

Worcester 7 million.

Springfield 6 point 3 million dollars.

Besides healthier schools, the governor says that this is also a way to align the schools with the state's net zero goals to make infrastructure upgrades.
