Most Want Tax Rebate Law To Stay

According to a new poll, a majority of likely Massachusetts voters want the Legislature to keep a tax rebate law.

It mandates a rebate for taxpayers if state revenue in a fiscal year exceeds the growth of wages.

Last year almost three-billion-dollars in rebates were sent out.

The poll released by the Fiscal Alliance Foundation shows 62-percent of respondents want the law retained while 16-percent favor repeal.

The Governor has called tax reform for middle income residents.

However it is now up to the governor to decide the issue.
