Panthers Extend Series After Overtime Win In Boston

The Panthers are still alive. Matthew Tkachuk's game-winner in overtime lifted Florida to a 4-3 victory over the Boston Bruins in Game Five at TD Garden.

Anthony Duclair opened the scoring in the first period to put the Panthers ahead. Boston responded with a power play goal in the beginning of the second period to tie the game at one.

Sam Bennett put the Panthers back on top after scoring with just over a minute remaining in the middle frame.

Patrice Bergeron and Sam Reinhart traded power play goals to open the third period, before Taylor Hall's fifth of the series tied the game at three.

Bruins coach Jim Montgomery says that the team fought hard but needs to play what he called "a cleaner game" particularly in their own zone.

The Bruins still lead the series 3-2 with Game Six set for Friday night in Sunrise.
