There is a big flap in Cranston Rhode Island on the naming of a new Topgolf Entertainment complex that has been four years in the making.
Mayor Ken Hopkins telling reporters he had always insisted on Top Golf Cranston for a name- but officials made it Top Golf Providence.
Hopkins told reporters that if the moniker holds, than TopGolf can take the poles out of the ground "and move to building to Providence."
The Mayor says he doesn’t have to have Top Golf Cranston for a name.
He would settle for Topgolf Rhode Island as a fair alternative.
Company officials haven’t commented.
