The Hampden County Sheriff's Office is warning the public about a new scam.
Phone calls are being made by someone claiming to be with the sheriff's office, but they're not really.
Sheriff Nick Cocchi says if you are asked to pay money to settle a warrant for missing a court date or jury duty, that's a scammer and you should hang up and notify your local police department.
