A Springfield man who was found guilty of kidnapping related to an attack on a woman in Connecticut in 1984 is being sentenced.
The Hartford State's Attorney's Office says George Legere was ordered to serve twenty-five years in prison.
A jury back in May convicted the 75-year-old Legere after he was linked to the crime through DNA evidence.
Prosecutors say Legere kidnapped his victim as she exited her vehicle at an Avon apartment complex, then beat and sexually assaulted her.
