It's A Holiday- State Sales Tax To Take A Weekend Off

The Massachusetts sales tax holiday is this weekend.

Consumers will not have to pay the six-and-a-quarter-percent sales taxes on most goods Saturday and Sunday.

Store owners say the holiday goes a long way to generating foot traffic.

Products that are exempt include restaurant meals, cars bought at the dealership, and marijuana dispensaries.

Connecticut will have a State Sales Tax Free week beginning August 20th which is geared to back to school shopping.
