A girl who was injured in this week's tragic shooting at a Springfield multi-family home has died.
Victor Nieves allegedly shot and killed his neighbor, Kim Fairbanks, at a residence on Berkshire Avenue on Monday.
Several of Fairbanks' grandchildren were wounded, including ten-year-old Aubrianna Lynn, who died Thursday after being taken to Boston Children's Hospital.
Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno said as a father of two daughters, there are no words to express his feelings about the tragic loss of life, and he said the child was taken away from her family all too soon.
Springfield has recorded 24 murders so far this year.
