Local Leaders React To Attack On Israel

Western Massachusetts Congressman Richard Neal says the Hamas terrorist attacks against Israel this weekend were nothing short of an unprovoked attack on the Israeli people and Israeli sovereignty.

Neal says Israel has a right to defend itself, and that the United States stands firmly with its ally. Neal is also extending his condolences to the families grieving from this violence.

More than a thousand Israelis and Palestinians have been killed, and officials have confirmed some casualties were Americans.

The Congressman is not the only political leader expressing support for Israel. Springfield Mayor Dom Sarno is as well:

“I/we should all condemn this horrible and unprovoked terrorist attack on our brothers and sisters in Israel. The inhumanity and animalistic nature of these Hamas terrorist is genocide. As the people of Jewish faith have said - “never again!” We must all stand strong with Israel. I will proudly join with Rabbi Amy Wallk and our Jewish community tonight at 7:00 pm for a Vigil at Temple Beth El in solidarity.”
