Police To Crack Down On Parker Street Speed Follow Fatal Crash

Springfield police have increased traffic enforcement on Parker Street in response to a pair of deadly accidents last Friday.

The driver was killed around 12:10 a.m. in a single car crash.

At six p.m. a car and a motorcycle collided, and the motorcyclist died yesterday from injuries suffered.

Superintendent Cheryl Clapprood said there's always been a speeding problem on Parker Street, and it's hoped an increased police presence will slow drivers down.
