Loose Moose In Ludlow

A female moose was spotted and captured in Ludlow Tuesday morning.

Authorities traced the moose and called in the state Division of Fisheries and Wildlife to keep tabs on the animal.

Once they determined she was not able to find her way out of town, the moose was safely caught and relocated.

The appearance of the moose near human habitation is not uncommon; due to their size and strength, adults have few natural predators and generally have little fear.

Residents are urged to always keep their distance.
