Springfield Mayor Recovering From Covid

Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno has tested positive for COVID-19.

The Mayor confirmed on Sunday that he was positive and will isolate for five days, under CDC guidelines.

Mayor Sarno was vaccinated and had received the recommended booster shots.

The CDC wants to remind residents that wearing a high-quality mask or respirator is key for those who are at high risk for severe illness.

Test sites are available at AMR locations in Springfield-more can be found through Mass-dot-gov.
